Speaker’s topic: The Wisdom of the Plant : an Ethnomedical Perspective.

Dr. Kuprowsky received his BSc and MA in medical anthropology with a specialty in ethnomedicine, ethnopharmacology and neuropharmacology.  After graduating from NCNM as a Naturopathic Doctor, he ran a successful clinic in Vancouver and a naturopathic retreat center on Vancouver Island focusing on complex chronic diseases and addictions.

For the past ten years, he has been the Clinical Director for Agora for Life, a drug addiction treatment program using an integrated approach including intravenous amino acids.  He was also a consulting practitioner for a Cannabis Dispensary in Vancouver.

In 2013, Dr Kuprowsky participated in the Medical Cannabis workshop for medical practitioners at the 23rd annual symposium of the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS) held in Vancouver.   He is also a member of the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids (CCIC) and participates  in their annual conferences.

He currently sits on the Cannabis Working Group for the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC, advising on cannabis policy and education.

He is the Director of a planned symposium for the fall of 2018, sponsored by the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine on the Clinical Applications of Cannabinoid Medicine

Dr Kuprowsky brings over 40 years of academic and clinical experience to the fields of integrated psychopharmacology and cannabinoid medicine.
