“My journey into naturopathic medicine is a little bit different. My background is in Recreation and Leisure studies. I was in Outdoor Education for the better part of a decade, taking individuals out on extended month-long canoe trips and working in the outdoors. That brought me to develop a really strong love for nature, plants and plant medicine. From there, I started looking into naturopathic medicine. I had done a number of rigorous first aid courses that embedded in me a love for helping people in medical situations. During that time, I also travelled significantly to different parts of the world and learned about different cultures. All of these experiences helped to inform my love for naturopathic medicine in different ways,” says Dr. Ann Grimwood, ND, Core Academic and Clinical Faculty at CCNM – Boucher campus.
