POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Academic Affairs is responsible for the design, development, implementation of the curricula as well as monitoring program assessment and administrative processes.

Applicant should be highly motivated and a talented educational theorist, have an excellent understanding of training and assessment for higher education, be a quick learner, good communicator, facile with standard technological tools, able to take the initiative and be flexible.  The position requires entrepreneurial thinking and a keen interest and ability to  identify needs and to take responsibility to fulfill these needs.  Knowledge of the content is not necessary, but familiarity with program design is of high importance.  Regular understanding and liaison with educational regulators is necessary.

Purpose:

This successful candidate is charged with taking initiative in the development of new programs and assessment processes that satisfy accreditation bodies and the needs of the institute in a highly-governed profession.

This includes understanding and implementing best practices in planning, development and production of curriculum design and delivery.  A solid understanding of assessment and outcomes management is required.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful applicant will have superb communication and effective team based collaboration skills and is able to demonstrate an ability to effectively lead team based initiatives.

Preferred education and/or experience include a Master’s in Education with expertise in curricular design, implementation, and curricular evaluation.
