Position title: Senior Admissions Advisor and Recruiter
Reports to: Associate Dean of Student Services

Position summary:
The Senior Admissions Advisor and Recruiter supports the Associate Dean of Student Services to generate prospective student inquiries, advise prospective students on the program, school and profession. The Senior Admissions Advisor and Recruiter performs key coordinating and relationship building functions in areas of outreach, recruitment, and marketing. This position works in a collaborative manner with colleagues across the institute to develop and implement student marketing and recruitment strategies. The Senior Admissions Advisor and Recruiter travels regularly to attend college and university fairs and deliver presentations to diverse groups of university students. This role is best suited to someone outgoing who will work to form individual relationships with school counsellors and potential students. The Senior Admissions Advisor and Recruiter plans and executes admission recruitment events such as open house, student for a day, information sessions etc. In addition to student recruitment, this role works closely with our alumni, planning events, fostering our LINC program, and marketing and advertising our Boucher Circle program to the community at large. General duties and responsibilities are outlined below; however, from time to time additional duties may be assigned by the Associate Dean according to the needs of the institute.

Responsibilities and duties:
Responsible for the planning and execution of both internal (on campus) and external admissions and recruitment events in both Canada and the United States such as:
High school and post-secondary events and recruitment fairs
On and off campus information sessions including student for a day events
Networking events, open houses and virtual fairs
Assist with travel coordination, bookings, event payments, tracking, planning, evaluation, Event advertising, invitations and RSVP, Food coordination and purchasing for events (as needed)
Deliver admissions presentations and program info sessions on campus to health related faculties
Ensure that all university feeder schools have the most up to date admissions information and brochures
Log all inquiries into existing databases, spreadsheets and other manual systems
Track and report statistics on all event inquires through the entire prospective student life cycle through to enrolment
Inquiry management: develop a rapport with prospective students; follow up with inquiries for appointments, events and information on the program, school and profession through tailored phone and email response
Develops a network of alumni by identifying and training successful alumni willing to help recruit students; coordinating the network’s activities.
Develops a profile of students attracted to the college by conducting research; interviewing applicants; designing questionnaires for current students; analyzing questionnaire results; conducting focus groups.
Evaluates recruitment techniques by determining the effectiveness of each recruitment technique used by admissions; discerning the appeal of admissions literature; defining the expectations of the college to be instilled in incoming students by the admissions staff.
Serves independently as the point person for internal coordination of student recruitment and enrollment management goals utilizing specific knowledge gained of admissions, registration criteria and financial aid and/or scholarship information and deadlines.
Provides career and academic counseling, planning, and advising to potential students utilizing specific knowledge gained of the university colleges, educational programs and degrees.
Serves independently to develop and maintain partnerships between the university and local school systems.
Coordinates event-specific organizational aspects, promotional materials and information from the university and its colleges, educational programs and degrees.
Promotes and represents the school at public relations events, promotional opportunities, marketing campaigns, business and committee meetings, and publicity functions.
Works with the Associate Dean to develops operating goals and objectives for recruitment
Schedule advising appointments, campus tours, class audits etc
Meet and advise students on admissions requirements and process, the program, school and profession
Take a leadership role in Admissions and provide direction to Admissions Advisors
Assist in the planning and execution of New Student Orientation
Recommend website changes or additions as needed, including event updates
Assist with travel budget management and tracking
Design event materials, including Power Point presentations
Create travel and statistical reports as directed by the Associate Dean
Other related duties as assigned according to the needs of the institute

Requirements & qualifications:
Note this position requires frequent travel for lengths up to a week at a time.

Requirements
Post-secondary degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in student recruiting/marketing, educational administration, educational outreach, or equivalent.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Demonstrated experience in previous roles demonstrating creativity and initiative.
Demonstrated strong teamwork abilities.
Experience in public speaking and representing an organization professionally.
Must have valid passports/documents with the ability to travel in and out of the USA
Access to a vehicle is essential as travel is required. There may be work off-site and during weekends and evenings.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Able to stand for lengthy periods of time.
Able to push and pull up to 30lbs (transporting recruitment material to college fairs and other events).
